New server setup, and the future.

As I write this, things have changed drastically in recent months when it comes to my server setup.

I have acquired a powerful HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 (Geekbench Test) running ESXi.
The server has 2 Intel Xeon E5-2690 v3 and 756 GB RAM.

ESXi runs from a USB stick.

For virtual machines, I have installed 2 x 1TB SSD in Raid 0, and have 2 x 5 TB HDD in Raid 0 for virtual machines that need more storage.

I know what you’re thinking, Raid 0 in a server?
I do this to get the most out of the server. I am in the process of moving most of my systems over to this server, which will free up the server I have at home for backup. The backup is automatic and runs regularly in case something happens to the server. I have already moved over most of my web pages (Including this one) and my Minecraft servers.

I am also building a new server rack (called DC2). This location is privately owned and will have a fiber connection.
I already have 5 servers ready to fire up. These servers will be used for testing, production and other purposes.

My main server at the new location will be an HP ProLiant DL580 G7 (Geekbench Test). This server has 4 x Intel Xeon E7-4820 and 283 GB RAM. This server will have more RAM when the new rack is configured and ready for use.
